I have a project which reads and writes an Access 97 database as ADODB and also uses the FileSystemObject to call a dll which converts JPG to MPG. Runs fine on my machine while inside the VB development environment, but will not install and run even on the same machine. I get an error 3706 "unable to find provider. May be installed incorrectly." message. I have done this with both the Packaging and Deployment Wizard and Install Shield 6.2 Professional. As far as I can tell, all the necessary files are being recognized by the install program, but I get the same message either way. What gives?

Okay, since posting this message originally, I discovered the Service Pack 4 for Visual Studio which I was not aware of, downloaded and installed it, repackaged my app, and NOW the thing installs and runs on my development machine, but still won't run when installed on the Windows 2000 box. I downloaded the Dependency Walker from MSDN, and running it on the NT machine gives the following return just as the error box pops up:

00:00:14.521: First chance exception 0xC000008F (Float Inexact Result) occurred in "c:\winnt\system32\KERNEL32.DLL" at address 0x77E89B01 by thread 1.

ANY suggestions? [sig][/sig]
