This error is very wordy but here is the first sentence, “This expression is type incorrectly, or it is too complex to be evaluated”. The error occurs when I try to open a form that has a sub form attached. I have no clue as to where to look for the problem. It does not happen every time I open the form.

Hi Nia,
The problem lies with the query from that subform. It's gonna be a case of trial an error, without seeing your database it's a little hard to know where the problem is. Try opening the subform directly, punch in any data requirements by hand and see if it opens. Case this fails
run some of the following tests:
Simplify the query until the subform opens, then add each field that you took away previously until you find the error.
A quick question: Does the query depend on data that is taken from a form that is already open?
