Hi,

I have a compiled VB Program with Access as it's backend. It's running in a stand alone PC running Windows XP SP2 and Office '97.

Just few days ago, the PC hanged while the program is running. Then when we tried the program again, it now gives us this ERROR 3043 and quits. It can't seem to process or POS.MDB file.

I have enough free space, 38GB of it. I have the right path to TEMP and TMP. The file can be opened in Access 97 (it was made in Access '97). I can open all tables in the database. I have compacted and repaired it but it still fails in the program.

I have tried JetCom also...

I have no source code of the program.

What else can I do?

Have you got a back-up of the compiled program? Have you run chkdsk?

I run Check Disk and Defrag... restored the backup .EXE file... still no go.

Have you checked the tables to see if there are any rows filled with junk? Is it possible to create a new database and import everything from the old database?

Remou,

Thanks for your answers. I really appreciate the responses from you.

May I ask, how do I import tables from old MDB to a new MDB file?

Thanks.

You can create a new database and choose Get External Data->Import from the File Menu.
