When one user of Office 2000 Professional clicks on Open an Office Document, he is prompted for the CD. Upon insertion of the CD, the popup reads "wait while configure Microsoft Project", then, "Cannot install the necessary file due to Installer Error 1603. Fatal error during installation."
Then, Error 2709, please contact product support for assistance.
We have reinstalled Office, no luck. If you close out of these errors, you are taken to the folder to open a document. How to stop the errors? Is this an Office or a Project problem? Thanks.
