Error(-2147221411): Process operation failed

Hi im new to OLAP and Analysis server i have run through microsofts tutorial on OLAP and building cubes and dimensions on my local PC where the analysis server sits works fine. (the tutorial accesses an mdb file on my local machine).

The problem lies when i try and connect to a SQL Server 2000 on a remote server. I tried to access the same database (a copy of it) on my local SQL server 2K and it worked but once it was on a remote server it didnt work. I got the error

Error(-2147221411): Process operation failed

Can anyone help. I can connect and test the connection works to the remote SQL Server but issues lies with me trying to process the database or the cube on my local analysis server trying to point to the remote sql server.

Does that make sense.

in your connection properties do you have the option checked to remember password?
