Hello. We have a computer that has several Access tables and forms and stuff (.mdb), powered by VB applications. One of those applications generates a report, and emails the results to a list of users. One day the person at this computer decided that it was a good idea to install IE 6 just because the browser told the person that it was cool. To make a long story short, after this....Monster was installed, it rendered the series of programs useless, well not totally useles, but the program stops at the line where it gets ready to send the email. We have tried (almost) everything, from removing IE 6.0 and reinstalling 5.5 to reinstalling Office proffesional. Has anyone come across this problem? if so, do you have any suggestions?
My THEORY is that 6.0 has a lot more security and it must have set some dll or some registry entry that "prevents" a foreign program (or a virus like activity) to "send" an email to someone by opening Outlook in the background. but this is only a theory. THanks in advance. Click.
