I encountered error 20997 when attempting to print a record fom a VB6 application using CR.

I get this error on one record, but the report prints fine from within CR. All other records print fine within the VB application as intended running on NT4.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply,

I am using a Access 97 database and Crystal Reports version 4.6 (the version that ships with VB6).

As I mentioned in my earlier mail, this error only occurs on one particular record. The record in question is not the first or the last record in the database.

If within my application, I scroll to the next record, the report prints fine.

Ummm, don't click that record! ;)

You say that you have problems when you *Print* this record. Is this to say that you pass one record at a time to the report and print it?

Anyway, I infer from this that there's something in your code which is not correctly handling the data, but just in case I would select the convert null value to default in the report options (providing you aren't dependent upon nulls elsewhere and 4.6 has this feature), and closely scrutinize the record/variables that are *supposed* to pass this record for illegal values.
