Hi;
I was given the task of adding functionality to a report that was originally written in Crystal 6 then converted to Crystal 8.0 using 8.0 Professional.
The converted report works fine within its limitations but when I add the extra functionality I get the above error.
The report works great as a standalone report but not when run from the VB App. The dll for the application was compiled using the 8.0 professional version that we have in-house.
I tried to stay in the format that was used in forming the converted version 8.0 report but it was MUCH easier to transfer data from subreports using Shared Variables. I would say that this is only the difference between the updated report I created and the previous 8.0 report.
The VB app uses an in-house created dll to pass the recordselection formula along with complete values for formulas within the CR report.
My question is: Is CR 8.0 professional sufficient to compile an in-house dll when Shared Variables are used?
Sorry but I don't know the contents of this dll yet...but would like to appear intelligent before hunting.
Any help appreciated
Jim
