I kept getting the same error in the event viewer everytime I boot up a stand alone NT server named SQLServer. The error is "Could not start the Net Logon services on \\SQLServer. Error 1781. The SAM database on the Window NT server does not have a computer acccount for this work station trust relationship."

I have made a computer account on the PDC Server for this computer. It can access the domain and other computers in the domain just fine. However, I could not install SQLServer on it because the domain service account could not be authencated.

I need to resolve this error. Any helps is appreciated. Thanks.

Try re-applying the service pack or load service pack 6a

Try and remove this system from the domain, place it in a workgroup. Reboot the systems and then add it back to the domain.
