Error 1722: RPC Server unavailable

I have an urgent problem.
When users log on to a Windows 2000 domain controller sometimes the login script on the server does not get processed and the users cannot connect to mapped drives on 2 others Windows 2000 member servers.
If I manually try to initiate the login script file through the command prompt, I get an error 1722: RPC Server is unavailable.
This problem only resolves itself if I log off and log on a few times.

See if this helps at all:

Error 1722: The RPC server is unavailable.

it may be that you have a static value in PagedPoolSize.

Set PagedPoolSize to 0 at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management

Shutdown and restart your computer.

This is not my thread but I encountered the same problem. Did you also encounter the error message "DNS Server is unoperational. Error 6: The handle is invalid"?

Please let me know if you were able to fix it.
