I have a client with Windows XP. Her computer also came with Picture It! 2002, Outlook Express, and a Microsoft greeting cards program.

I initially went over because they had multiple error messages, Internet Explorer kept closing, and a whole realm of problems.

I repaired all the problems but a new one showed up after I did the work on her computer.

When she now uses Outlook Express and pushes send mail or when she trys to open her greeting cards program an error message appears:

Error 1706: No valid source could be found for Picture It! Photo 2002. Windows installer cannot continue.

I searced at microsoft, but could not find any solution.

Any suggestions?

A few of the things I did was run spybot and adaware and a virus scan with no luck.

Thanks in advance

This happens when a non-administrative user installs the software using a password that has administrative privileges. The error is non-fatal, and the sotware will work correctly after dismissing all the dialog boxes that appear. To prevent them from appearing at all, the software must be uninstalled, and then reinstalled by anyone (even an administrator), but using their own password only.
