Error -1603 fatal error during installation

hello,

i am trying to install act 2008 on a laptop that has vista home premium.

the rest of the error message is "consult windows installer help (msi.chm) or msdn for more info.

i searched microsoft's web site to try and find out what i should do, but what i read does not seem to apply to vista, so i don't know what to do.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

the options are for windows xp. i have vista. many of the options i could not find. i looked for the same type of info for vista, but could not find it.
