Hi,

We are setting up a standalone server running Win NT. When we try to start the Server service we get an error message saying:

Could not start the Server service on \\ALICESERVER.

Error 1130: Not enough server storage is available to process this command.

Any ideas?

You have a problem that came from installing a service or device (maybe printer drivers or something like that).

Whenever NT says to put in drive D:\ the setup disk..
Follow those operations with reapplying the service pack...

DON'T Reboot till you do ok.....

Also whatch out for manufacturer specific drivers... you do "NOT" what them replaced....
L8ter!

This issue typically occurs whenever a Service Pack is applied prior to networking support being installed. This is due to a file called SRV.SYS not being present when the Service Pack is installed and therefore the Service Pack does not install the updated version.

When you then install networking, the original SRV.SYS is installed and the problem occurs. If reinstalling the Service Pack could produce problems with other applications, you may want to just "expand srv.sy_" from the Serive Pack files and copy it to the System32 directory.
