Error 1006 unable to load required module bepsvr.nlm

Hello all,

I have Backup Exec 9.2 running on a Novell Netware 5.1 environment. I've just put in a new server and installed Media Server onto it. Whenever I try to run BESTART I get the error in the subject:

"Error: 1006 Unable to load required module BEPSVR.NLM"

When I try a straight 'load bepsvr.nlm' (before BESTART) at the console I get the error:

Error opening resource file BESRVR.RES
Error initializing resources
Could not initialize BEP

Anyone have any suggestions of what to try next? I've done a fresh install and made sure the files weren't corrupt and where they're supposed to be, but Novell isn't exactly my strong point so help would be much appreciated.

Do you have the right version of Java loaded? According to Veritas, you need the Java Runtime Engine (jre) version 1.1.7b at a minimum.

To see which java you have, goto your server console and issue "java -version".

That may have been the problem I'm not sure. I actually ended up just pulling the entire BKUPEXEC directory from SYS on another server to this one and after a few changes things are working fine now. Thanks for the reply!
