Erroneous Alarm on Expansion Module

I have deleted an expansion module and removed it from the system configuration. All references to that expansion module have also been removed.
The system has been rebooted multiple times since that work was done, yet I still have an alarm in System Monitor showing that the link/module is down. This error is dated prior to when I did all the work but I still can't clear that error.

Is this some type of corruption or what do I need to do to clear the alarm?

Thanks

When you say alarm, what do you mean? Where are you seeing it? There are some alarms that the system retains until you clear them. If its one of them, select Status | Alarms and then click Clear Alarms.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Sorry, I am looking at System Status, not System Monitor.

In System Status, under "Alarms". "Link Alarms". There is a message "Link/Resource Down Expansion 5". The date and message is in red.'

I have selected the message and hit "Clear". I have hit "Clear All".

Originally, I also had a message for Expansion 11, which was another expansion module I removed. That alarm/message did clear.

To follow up with this issue. I had to perform a system shutdown, disconnect power and then restore power. After the system came back up I went into System Status and was finally able to clear the alarm.
