I am having some very erratic behavior when opening my switchboard. The form centers the controls with .left and .width properties, and it also has a text box with =now() as the control. Also, it pulls the background and color of fonts from a setting table. However, here is the problem, just today it started pausing in the middle of aligning the controls, but only when opening the DB. It says 'Calculating...' on the status bar. This stays up for some 30 sec and then it continues opening as normal. It will do this one time, and then not the next, then maybe three times in a row. Even a copy of the form in .mde format made a week ago has started doing this (so I know the code has not changed). It _never_ does this if you SHIFT-click to bypass startup options and just click on the Switchboard form that way. The tables are on a network drive, but I have tried putting the front end there and there is no change in behavior. Has anyone run into anything like this before?
