Hello all,

I have an issue with a site of mine we have analogs that now have no dial tone. We tested at the site with analog phone.
I have removed and rebuilt 1 of them but still cannot get any dial tone at all.

I get an ERR9023

ERR9023
Incorrect database configuration encountered. CNUS class of service
conflicts with CNAA class of service.
Correct the database configuration in LD10.
Severity: Minor

The analog card is fine (on a CS1000 7.6 software)

Any ideas?

Here is the configuration.(This is not the only one not working it seems to be all analogs on the same card, no red light on the card)

Thanks in advance.

Did these analog extensions ever work on that card? If so then you most likely have a faulty card. Try to disable and reable the card or move it to another slot. You have a few things to troubleshoot, Good Luck.

norstarboy,

Yes the all worked previously. The card does not show a red light on it.
Can it still be a bad card?

Thank you.

Is this a 1000 E with MGC cards? If so is the MGC card registered and active to the Call server? And are all the DSP's idle on the MGC? Yes it still could be a bad analog card. Are other cards in this cabinet/shelf working?

KCFLHRC,

Yes it is a CS1000E

all the cards are fine. I did a DISC and ENLC on the card 0 1 2 which is the analog ports and still cant get the fax dial tone to ring on the one I removed and rebuilt which is in the above.

How would I check the DSP? In load 49?

You can check the DSP's in LD 20, stat 0 1 0 and 0 1 11 depending on your config. If you have other cards working in that chassis/cabinet I would suspect your analog card is bad.

Also make sure you have DTR's configured in that Media Gateway. You need DTR's for analog dial tone in each Media Gateway. Do a stat on 0 1 14 and 0 1 15

KCFLRHC

I checked the card and did a disc and enlc and still got nothing. All analogs show idle. Its only the one analog card which all are programmed on 0 1 2

This is what I show for DTR in LD 20

If you disable the card, pull it from the shelf, put it back in and then enable, you may find it fixes the issue. However if you have to do this a few times over the next several weeks, then you may want to consider replacing it.

trvlr1,

Can I do the remove and replace of the card during business hours?
will it affect any of the other pieces on my system?

Just make sure it is disabled before you remove it - the card not the individual TN's. DISC xx xx xx xx After that ENLC xx xx xx xx once you have reset it. This will not mess anything else up.

Just 2 more cents, be sure the amp connection is seated well. The connectors are easily knocked loose.

If its not working, get a bigger hammer!

Avaya/Nortel/NEC/Asterisk/Access Control/CCTV/DSX/Acti/UCx

Also make sure those DTR's are showing idle and your DSP's show idle registered.

Not sure if the ERR9023 is causing your no dialtone problem (I doubt it) but have you tried
either
CLS CNAA CNUA
or
CLS CNAD CNUD

?
