We have upgraded several systems from 4.5 PII to 6.0 PIV over the past few months. Through this we have noticed that ERR5575 doesn't appear when a 39xx set of older firmware is plugged in to let you know it needs new firmware. We have just been running the FSUM command in LD 32 every so often to determine if any sets needed upgrading. I don't see anything in Knowledge Base nor do I see any PEPs that mention this. Anyone else notice this or look into it?

load the firmware to the set against the ERR5575 message. After it is done, disable the phone and re-enable it. If the firmware did not take you should get the message again.

Also, please make sure all your patches are up to date as there are specific issues with the database on 6.0 with PIV processors.

There have been new patches released over the past month that specifically address the issues. Most noticably the loss of large portions of the database.
