I'm getting this error on an Opt 11 rel 25.3. The documentation says:

ERR0220 r c No response (control pulse) return from all trunks on route r for customer c. Minor alarm lit on attendant console.
Action: Check RAN machine in operation. Use LD 36 to check RAN trunk and RAN machine.

In LD 36 I've used the RAN command and get OK back. You can hear the message find on the termination strip. I've changed trunk ports, same message. You can dial the ACOD and get the message but when redialed you will often times get a fast busy. I've re-punched the jumpers to ensure the connections are good. Everything is seems to be pointing to the interalia machine. Any suggestions?

how many ques do you have using that ran. usually a 220 means you need to add trunks in that route. the fast busy is all trunks busy, unless you have braodcast turned on, it's one person at a time on the trunk.. if you have broadcast then bump up the bcon to a higher number..

There is only 1 ACD que using this 1 member RAN route. There is an average of an error message every 2-3 minutes even when the queue is in NCFW and no calls are being made in the switch. I was considering deleting the SRRT from the queue and outing the RDB and trunk member and reprogramming. I haven't tried a power down on the RAN machine for fear of losing the recordings but I'm beginning to think the fault may lay in it.

SEE IF BDCT IN THE RDB IS SET TO YES BY DEFAULT IT SHOULD BE NO, THIS IS FOR BROADCAST RAN. ALSO THERE WILL BE A CONN ON THE TRUNK TN SET TO 4 BY DEFAULT. CHANGE THE BDCT TO NO

IF YOU ARE USING RAN BROADCAST MAKE SURE THE LENGTH IN RDB IS SET TO DEFAULT I FOUND MINE SET TO 10 WHICH WAS TO SHORT

Strangest thing! Since about noon yesterday there hasn't been 1 error message! I did delete and "new" the RDB and trk mem. programming but still got errors after that. Suddenly it looks clear. I'm happy about that but wonder what would cause it to clear.

I also wondered where "WILL BE A CONN ON THE TRUNK TN SET TO 4 BY DEFAULT" is found in the programming? Thank you for your suggestions and it may look like I'm finished with this problem, can only hope.

if you've got lic to answer yes to that prompt you will get a prompt that allows the use of that ran by more the one person at a time. when i had err220 on my rans is added additional trunks to the route, until we bought the two miran cards and the lic for broadcast.. now with 16 trunks (five for music) the remaining 11 can handle 44 calls at the same time... the second msg (all agents are still busy) used 10 lic, and less traffic (you've reached an unsed number at phr) has only two.. plus we were able to kill power to the old interialia rack. that was a good move, even after new batteries one of the 4 boxes had to be recorded after any power problem.. plus i got back all those card slots..

jp is correct if you don't have ran broadcast you will not see conn in the tn of the trunk

I have had that err message before and my suggestion was what you have already done. By outing then reprogramming usually fixes the issue. Hope fully you see no further err220 messages.
