Err Msg: There is no object in this control

I am using Access 2000 and trying to import data into a table using the Import Wizard, Table > New > Import Table. After selecting the file to import I get this error message. This error message also appears when exporting a table to a file. I have tried 'repairing' the Office installation. I have deleted Access and reinstalled. The error began after I had clicked on and tried some of the security settings but when I got out of there I reset everything back to the original state. What I was trying to do with the Security options was set a password for the web site database without affecting the local database. I had opened the web site database when I was working with these changes. I noticed this error when using the other database after closing the web site database.
Any suggestions?
