-ERR mailbox is corrupted

Hi all,
I configured Qmail with the LDAP patch and qmail-pop3d(according to
and use qmail-conf to run pop3d ).
All the services are running.SMTP works fine, but I am not able to connect over POP3.
When telnetting this is the error I get

-ERR mailbox is corrupted
Connection closed by foreign host.

I have configured ldapserver and ldapbasedn control files properly. What could be wrong ?
Please help
