How do i get the moon to show up in the background? Or the sun for that matter? I looked through all the stuff in the atmosphere options and it won't show...i want a nice glowing, red, moon.

Did you go into the sky lab and click on the button to show the sun/moon? If so then you have to play around with the position until you can see it. Which can be a pain.

it to night, and tried it with every fog/haze/cloud combination possible.

hmm.. if memory serves me correctly,
go into the skylab and disable "link sun to view"
then when you change the sun position in sky, the sun will move as you move its position. Works great in stills, but if you're rendering an animation you should keep it linked =)

have fun
