Guys
I have one customer who is running HACMP with two pSeries servers using DS4800 storage subsystem
Now they have decided to go to DS3950 and ERM to build DR solution.
I know ERM works well for most of applications and AIX..however as they are going for one Pseries server at DR site ( no HACMP) , my only concern is that how they will come back to main Site after DR tests?
I mean once DR site is up and users connect/write to DR DS3950 and if we use ERM to replicate shared data disks back to main site , what will happen to Production site PVID? Does ERM( or similar technologies like PPRC) replicate only changed data on disks or even replicate PVID as well in case of AIX?
Any suspected risks in case of replicating back of non HACMP environment to HACMP environment?
Please note that there is no san boot and only data disks will be replicated through ERM... mksysb restoration will be used for first time to make DR system similar to production system.
Many thanks in advance!!
