I was frequently asked if you could register Ericsson DECT phones to a Polycom / KIRK DCET system (e.g. the 500 or the 1500).
We have made some tests and found out that it was possible to register the following Ericsson DECT phones to the KIRK DECT systems:
DT-190, DT-290, DT-292, DT-570 and DT-590.
At this moment it was not possible for us to register the:
Ericsson DT-400 series (DT-412) to the KIRK environment.
Maybe you have some info to share concerning DECT systems from one vendor and DECT phones from another?

On Siemens HiPath systems it's possible to register other dect sets, but you could get spikes during the call.

All GAP compatible DECT handsets are compatible with GAP DECT systems to greater or lesser degrees, however certain vendors also write firmware to improve the compatibility for message waiting, roaming ability etc...

I successfully registered over one hundred DT290 and DT292 sets (new and old shape) to a Kirk 1500.
There were odd digits which would appear on the DT handsets inplace of system info; 03, 45 that sort of thing, as I believe the Ericsson DECT would be putting out proprietry info which was not available from the Kirk, likewise the DT sets appeared to misinterpreting display info from the Kirk, however call quality appeared fine.

There was echo experienced from far end callers, this was cured by reducing the side-tone on the sets: You require a special programming lead and a command line session with the handsets; the side tone is adjusted as a hex value - contact your vendor for a programming lead and directions as to how to adjust the side tone if neccessary.
