Hi All,

I need to record calls from a Ericsson 4223 off a MD110, the lines are too far away from the exchange to connect direct to a Red Box recorder digital card, is there a way to tap the audio off the phone and put into the Red box as a analogue input.

Thanks

Andy

You double-jumper on the MD110 frame no matter where the handset is, are you saying the redbox is not near the frame?

Parnum,

that is correct the redbox is 500M away in another building they said that is too far as it has to be within 25M to pick up the digital signal. They were all analogue phone but now upgraded to digital, moving the recorder to the exchangte is not an option.

Then I think the answer to your question is no, it's not possible in any way i've ever seen, guess you could ask Redbox if they have anything (remote box with a card, connected back to the RB server)

You can use Trilliums (Telephone Recording Adapter) to tap off the audio from the hand set. There are passive and powered Trilliums available for the distance issue.

Trillium seems to work for analogue lines, dialog 4223 is using digital extension line, most probably you have to see if the answer of parnum could take place.
