Hi folks,

after a system crash (probably defect memory, but unsure) my Casio Cassiopeia Pocket PC running WIN CE has lost all of it's data and reseted itself to the state it was in when I bought it.

It has still got warranty on it so I'll just hand it over to the store. However I'd first like to make sure that no one there will be able to recover any files that may be erased but not really gone ...

Can I be sure that after the ppc lost it's data that it's really gone forever or would it be necessary to erase it somehow ... If so, how can I do it ?

This is really important because there were some documents on it not meant for outsiders ...

Regards,
Thomas

Yeah it is really gone. Your PPC uses RAM simialar to what is on your PC. Once you do a hard reset, there is no going in to recover the information.
