I'm looking for an equivalent method of the Oracle NLS_INITCAP, that returns a charaters in lower case but the first letter of all words that are in capital.

Hello Pierre,
I just went through the standard functions without finding a equivalent to the ORACLE function you mentioned.
You could create your own using UCASE, LCASE, LENGTH and SUBSTR functions such as:
UCASE(SUBSTR(<var>,1,1))||LCASE(SUBSTR(<var>,2,(LENGTH(<var>)-1)))
or something along the line , for variable length strings.
Must be a simpler solution one should think..... T. Blom
