i'm going to be setting up a network camera about 100 yds away from my building...i was planning on using panasonic's outdoor wireless model hcm270...i already use the wired model and am happy with it...question is...i'm unsure about what i'd need to pull this off...

i assume i need something to receive the signal from the camera(this would sit on the roof of my building and of course would need to be weather-proof) and then a wireless router (is that right?) inside the building that the receiver connects to...

can somebody help me out...thanks

I doubt you would need something on the roof unless your building uses a great deal of leaded glass.

I am not sure how the existing wired model works, but a wireless router/switch seems reasonable. The outdoor camera would appear as a connected device. You could add the unit to your existing network.

the roof would be the only location that i could maintain line of sight
