Epson T88V slow to start on receipt on micros RES 3700

All,
I have configured Epson T88V with RS232 interface on COM1. 9600 Baud. It seems to be working fine but very slow to start. After closing the ticket it takes almost 6-7 seconds. seems too long during the busy lunchtime.
Any ideas how to speed this up?

Can you print screen the settings you have on the printer?

if you can increase the baud rate for the printer then it should increase on some printer you can change the baud rate using the dipswitch settings

Scacea, I will send the print screen once I am at the location.
Jackba, I changed two switches 7 and 8 on SW2 to increase to 38400 speed from 9600. I also changed the speed for COM1 in windows devices and also in POS configurator. It didn't make any difference or I didn't notice.
Any other ideas, pease?
