Epson StylusPro 9500 RIP

From InDesign running on OS X and PageMaker running on OS 9.2, what RIP is anyone out there using and getting the desired results. We typically print large posters which consist primarily of graphic elements combined with high resolution photographic images. The iProof Power RIP 2000 is not giving us the quality we require through InDesign and Illustrator. I'm interested in learning how other people with similar equipment are handling their workflow.
