Epson Stylus Photo 1200 - Printer Driver

Hi,

I have a Epson Stylus Photo 1200 connected to a HP printer server on our Ethernet network.

The printer is visable on the network, and I can print to it from both PC's and a Apple Mac computer on the network.

However I can not print in colour, as I am not using the correct driver.

Does anyone know if I can use the printer this way, and if so what driver I should be using?

You need to get a PPD file for the printer, have you tried Epsons website? If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.

Yes, I have tried - I do not think that Epson support this printer in a Ethernet environment - my question really is: Does anyone know how I could get this to work without a official Epson PPD ??

Have you tried using the Epson 5000 ppd?

Other wise I used to have the same problem!

You could buy some rip software and the make Postscript files to the rip. If you can't fix it in 20 minutes call someone who can.
