Greetings. I am working on a Compaq Deskpro EN with a PIII/866, running XP Pro. There is an Epson Stylus Color 740 attached via USB port. I need to uninstall this printer so I can do a fresh install. The problem is twofold: First, there are no drivers listed in the "Add or Remove Programs" section of the Control Panel, so I have nothing to delete there. Second, I cannot delete the existing printer in the "Printers and Faxes" section of the Control Panel. When I right-click on the Epson Stylus printer, there is a status of "Deleting - Offline", which never goes away. I am unable to clear out old printer description. I would like to completely clear this out before re-installing. Thanks a lot.

Hi Folks...guess I just answered my own question here, but the answer is probably good information for anyone else out there who is as brain-dead as myself. The reason I could not delete the printer is because there were a number of jobs still left in the queue. Once I deleted the jobs, I was able to easily uninstall the printer.
