I purchased an Epson Stylus RX500 back in June. The all-in-one unit is great, and I'm quite satisfied with its operation. Tbough, about three weeks ago, the printer began making a strange noise when I turned it on, which is also noticeable after the paper is fed out of the unit at the conclusion of printing. It sounds like a flapping noise, similar to a playing card in the spokes of a revolving bicycle wheel.
When opening up the lid, and turning on the unit, the sound seems to be coming from the right side of the printer, though I don't see a renegade piece of paper or anything that seems to be out of place.
I understand that I can take it to an Epson dealer to have it asssessed/fixed under warranty, though I'm in school right now, and would like to think the problem may be simple. Has anyone experienced this problem or have any suggestions?
