Hi...I submitted this thread on the Windows 2000 forum, and just realized I should have put it here! I am trying to configure a Netgear PS101 print server attached to an EPson Stylus C82 printer on a Windows 2000 network. When I install the printer driver on the workstation, I get an message telling me to disable Epson Spool Manager. I cannot find any information anywhere that tells me how to do that.

Then, when I try to print, I get an error message that I cannot connect to the print server, even though I can see it on the network (ie: If I go through the add a printer wizard and browse the network).
Anyone have any ideas?
thank,
Dei

Does anyone have a suggestion on this?

Have you the correct drivers installed for the printer for use in Windows 2000?

Yes, I installed the drivers directly from the printer install CD.

I think I actually figured this one out. When I installed the print server, it was assigned an IP address of 192.168.1.54. BUT, when I looked in DHCP lease addresses, it showed the server at 1.53. It showed 1.54 as being a bad address (?) I deleted the 2 addresses from the lease, unplugged the printer, print server and network cable from the print server, reinstalled the print server software, reinstalled the printer.....and now, it works! I no longer get the "Cannot connect" error message, and I can send print jobs to the server.

However, I never figured out how to turn off Epson Spool Manager, so I'm not sure what problems that will cause.
