When attempting to print from paradox to an Epson EPL N2050 network laser printer via TCP/IP paradox produces the following error:-

It works OK if I use netbui instead of TCP/IP however, lots of other things don't!! I need to use TCP/IP only, and whenever I set up the network printer driver to use TCP/IP it causes Paradox (only) to crash every time it prints from any machine on the LAN.

Any ideas???

Thanks

Chris

I take it that you have configured PDOX to use the correct settings for that printer. My experience has only been with setting up modern printers for use with PDOX 40 (DOS), which was an excessive pain, requiring a lot of experimentation. You might have to play around with the printers available in the Paradox configuation utility to find an acceptable substitute.

Do you have the Paradox network settings configured for TCP/IP only? I didn't realize that would work but it's an interesting tip in itself.

Perhaps the reverse is also true....
