Tried to install Epson Perfection 1200U scanner on Win2K Pro using the drivers (Twain 4.1) and scanner control software (Epson Scan II32)downloaded from the Epson site. Followed instructions and everything seemed to go fine, until tried to use the scanner. Control programs and Kodad Imaging both say provide same error message: Twain software not installed. Checked with device manager and hardware shows up fine and drivers are listed as installed. Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with same outcome.

Any ideas appreciated.

I found this on a review of your scanner. This might be your problem:
"Horrible support for Win2K
After NUMEROUS e-mails and calls to Epson I got a 2 page instruction guide on how to install this on my Windows 2000 machine. You literally have to search for program files on your hard drive and manually delete them before you can install the software & drivers for this. Epson technical support is everything but supportive. I've been in IT for 6 years and have never had more difficulty installing a peripheral device on a system. I will NOT be recommending my company purchase ANY Epson products until they decide that the consumers deserve better self installation files and driver support."

I could be wrong, so don't hold that against me. At least I'm trying! I hope I've helped in some way........
