I have an Epson LQ-1070 Esc/P2+ printer that was functioning perfectly until a couple of days ago, when it started screwing up print jobs: if the job was more than 1 page, it printed 1 page then 1 blank page then the 2nd page and so on...
At first I thought it was the printer, but no deal, I switched identical printers and still had the problem, I switched PCs, and nothing, switched the Parallel cable, and again nothing, i also thought it could be the app, but i printed from different apps and still had the problem; so i'm stumped, what am I missing?

Thanks.
Rob.

According to all troubleshooting theories you are not having any problems because nothing is wrong.
Pardon my attempt at humor, I just have it bottled up so long it has to come out.
What OS?
First and easiest way to trouble shoot is to do it in DOS. Reboot to DOS. Create a test file like test.txt containing a couple of lines of text. Create a batch file ff.bat that tells the machine to type ff.dat > prn. Create a ff.dat file that contains a ^l only.
Then you should tell the machine to type test.txt > prn. Should print the file but no formfeed. Then give the instruction ff and enter. Should feed the paper to the start of the next page. If all this works then you have eliminated hardware problems.
Are you printing over a network or is the machine on a network? The second sheet is normal for networking if a divider sheet is wanted.
Post back with results and we'll see where we can go.
