epson c86 inkjet clogged

My father in law has a printer that has not been used in 4 months and now it will not print. The cartridges have ink and the ink will come out the bottom of the cartridge. However, it appears that there is a small tube that the ink must pass through to get to the paper. I am guessing that this must be clogged. How do you clean this on an epson C86?

I eventually found that site and have determined that my father-in-law is basically out of louck. to make matters worse, he has two of these pieces of junk. One for his summer cottage and another for his home. So, he basically has two printers that will not print. He needs to get an 2 HP inkjets and just take the cartridges with him.
