Epson C82 Printer and non usb printer connection

Anybody any comments on the C82.I am thinking of buying one for general printing and also digital photos, although not at expert level!
Also I have my current printer set up via USB cable, but would like to free up USB port and use standard parrallel port connection. Do you lose any performance or speed by this change?
