Hi!
An Epson c70 plus is being a pain.
I recently tried re-filling the cartridges*, but I had a leak. I had to clean things up a bit - even to the point of taking out the head and cleaning it. I stopped the leak and tried to print.
It printed at first, with gaps in places. When I cleaned the head using the printer cleaning system, it got worse. I then tried cleaning the cleaning system, and cleaned the head again.
Still got worse.
I tried the above repeatedly and it got worse and worse, until no print at all.
The holes in the head are not blocked, as I found a method of squirting ink out. I have also changed the cartridges for new epson ones.
Could of cleaning solvents damaged it - is the head sensitive to methylated spirit or water? (I have obviously cleared water out before plugging it in!)
So far - everything points to the head being blocked, but it is not. The only other thing is that I have some how inadvertantly damaged the head/cable to the printer.
Any ideas or suggestions are welcome - no matter how simple or crazy.
I am at the end of my tether!
DataJag.
*I used a chip resetter to reset the ink levels.
