Epson C64 Printing Problem

I have bought an Epson C64 printer and now it only prints from the black cartridge. This has started happening since I installed Non-Epson print cartridges in it and now it happened consistently. I have replaced the cartridges but to no avail. Even the self test from the printer only prints in black ink.

Does anyone know why this might be or if there is some sort of hardware reset to factory settings etc I can apply?

Howdy:

Looks like you learned the hard way.. same as I did.. You plugged up your print head with the generic cartridges.. I did that on an Epson 580 and an Epson C60 (ran out of ink on both about the same time).. Nothing would work to clean them so, now I have a couple excellent shape printers that won't print..

Time for a new one and stick with the proper refills !!
