eps colour invert

when i import eps duotone from photoshop into indesign and view at high resolution the colours all invert and look solarized.

It also PDFes and prints out like this
 
Try this.
In the menu choose, Edit/Color settings/Application Color Settings.
Engine should be Adobe CMS
IF it looks fine on the screen then no not change the monitor setting. IF it looks like it prints then you need to change this setting until it looks and prints correctly.
Composite and Separation setting should be the default Adobe. If you are printing to a ps printer then these may need changing. There is no definate setting for any of these. It is dependent on each computer and the drivers being used.

What printer are you using? Is it a PostScript printer?
How do you create the PDF?
