Epox 8K7A+ Raid setup question

I have an Epox 8K7A+ mobo and 2 IBM 40G Hd....Now my question is....do i connect the two harddrives in different channel both as master on the raid channels? and if I do can I connect cdrom on the regular primary channels without compromising performance?

Read your manual to be sure, but generally for RAID 0 or 1 you connect one drive to the primary channel and the other to the secondary channel. Set both drives as master.

You can connect up to four ATAPI devices to the other IDE channels without compromising performance. Do not connect hard drives to the regular IDE channels because that defeats the purpose of using RAID.
