I have a Windows 2003 Server running ePOS server. All service packs are installed for both OS and ePOS. Nightly the ePOS server shuts down with an event log error in the application log. The error is as follows: "Faulting application ePOSServer.exe, version 5.20.0.5003, faulting module a4wcomex.dll, version 5.2.0.34, fault address 0x00021acd." When doing database updates from within the ePOS console, the ePOS server would shutdown also, with the same error. The ePOS server can be restarted and operates normally until the next update or evening. The anti-virus software has been removed with no noticable effect on the error. Upon examination it is noticed that if the Veritas services are stopped the update database function operates properly. I disabled the services for Veritas over night to see if this would allow for a complete evening with the ePOS server running, but was rewarded with the same issue over the evening. The veritas software has been removed and upgraded to Veritas BE 10 with no noticable effect. This has been going on now for a couple of months and is getting quite frustrating. I am going to try complete removal of the Veritas software over the weekend and see if there are positive results. I have a feeling it could be an issue with Veritas as it uses a SQL connection that may possibly be conflicting with ePOS. But that is just a guess. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any help,

Richard Walker
