Hi again

In Epolicy 2.5 I've built my NT-Domain. Under this domain I made some groups where all my clients are (sorted by IP-Address). If I want to update my domain to see if there are new clients I see all the clients on the left side (like not yet managed) also the ones that are already managed in a group. How can I find out which clients are not yet managed (not in any group below the domain)?
Any ideas?
Thank you
Renato

All of the "unmanaged" clients should fall in the "Lost & Found" folder.

No, that doesn't work. I just put a new machine into the domain. In Epolicy 2.5 I only can see it if I click on 'Update Domain'. There is nothing in the Lost&Found folder (already refreshed). The IP ranges (which the new machine is in) for the domain is also specified.

Another way would be to run the reports or do a query on the database. You should be able to filter out all those already managed.

Sorry for a duplicate post, I misread your problem.

If you're expecting ePO to automatically add any new machines you add to the NT domain, won't work. Not in version 2.5. From what I've heard, they're thinking of adding this functionality to the next version (3.0?).

For now, the best way for you to make sure new machines are added to ePO automatically is to run a login script which checks for the existence of the ePO agent in a machine. If it's not present, the script will automatically install it. This way, all you need to do is wait until the agent reports back to the server and sort.

I believe someone already posted sample scripts to do this. Read through the other posts :)

Hope this helps.
