Hy all!
I have 3 ePO Servers (all 3.5 or higher) running on Windows 2003.
Because of a reorganisation of our Network, i have to change the IPs of these Servers.
As far as i know, the Agent will try to connect to the IP Adress and if this doesnt work, to the name of the ePO Server. Is this true? And if it is, will the agent update the IP in its Settings?
Has anybody made a change of the ePOs IP?

Yep, that's the way it worked for me. Client first tries to connect to the server's last known address; if that doesn't work, it will try to resolve the NETBIOS name. As long as you don't change both the server name AND address, all your clients should find their way home. BTW, you might want to force ePO to create a new FRAMEPKG.EXE (as well as any custom-install FRAMEPKG you may have created), as the server location is embedded in there. If I remember correctly, the process is to stop the ePO service on the server (RSDSERVER360 for v.3.6), rename FRAMEPKG.EXE and FRAMEWORK.Z at ...ePO\3.6.0\DB\Software\Current\EPOAGENT3000\Install\0409, and restart the service. Once you've confirmed that ePO has built a new pair of files and that the client install works, you can delete the renamed files.
