ePO Repositories

Has anyone tried to use a DFS share as a repository? Can anyone see how this may or may not work. Someone asked me if this was possible. I can't see a problem, & it would mean only having 1 repo for ePO to handle.
 
yeah, but if something happens to that one share, everything stops working...
 
True,but there would still be the Master repo. In our situation we currently have over 120 repo's. When we move to ePO 3.5, I want to start fresh, not upgrade, but I am not keen on setting up the repo list again. Was keen the idea of only having to set up 1 repo.
 
yeah i have 170+ repos... didn't really excite me setting them up....
