I've just install EPO2.5 in my company. I am using a test group of 4 machines to practice deploying DATS, etc.
I added the machines by importing their netbios names from a text file. 2 of the machines are fine, and report back and can be updated, etc. The other 2, i can do nothing with. Under properties there is nothing listed for these 2 (unlike the other 2)

All 4 machines are in the same group, and I applied configurations at group level. The only difference is the 2 good machines are clean installations of NT, the other 2 have had old management agents on them, but I cleared these off (both folders and registry).

Any ideas please.

Check the SITEINFO.INI file in the C:\EPOAgent directory. Make sure the the LASTKNOWNIP value contains the IP address of the ePO server.

I checked the siteinfo.ini and all was correct. The only way around this seems to be going to the machine and manually deleting the old Management edition agent folder and registry setting and rebooting, but I really don't want to have to do this on every machine. I thought by removing it from the management edition console and saying remove agent would do the job.
