ePO 3.5 DB on a SQL cluster

We are currently running ePO 3.02 and SLQ 2000 DB on the same box and wish to migrate to ePO 3.5 In this move I would also like to move my DB to a SQL cluster on a standalone box. Can anyone give input to similar moves? Im thinking upgrade to 3.5 then, move DB to SQL cluster. Any reason to keep this on the same PC?
