Hi,

Im adjusting EPO 2.5.1 for a client and need to enforce an "on access scan" for cd's, a:(already done) and ANY other removeable media.
They have two versions of Virusscan, 4.51 and 6.0.0 and both need these policies asap so if its possible, how to do it? I cant see a way to cover cd's and other media...

Any help much appreciated.

AFAIK, 6.0.0 is a RETAIL version. It's not manageable via ePO.

By default, you don't have to do ANYTHING as both products are set to scan CDs and other removable media ON-ACCESS. If you're looking to do a full scan when a CD is inserted, that will not be possible unless you have direct API access (which is not available in 4.5.1). However, the On-Access scanner will check EXECUTABLE files on a CD when inserted (or actually accessed by the OS for verification if readable).

HTH,

PS: I'm back :)
